Heroes of the Nation, is an organization with a passionate, urgent desire to save orphans the world over and to see them transformed into heroes.We provide a loving home for children whose parents have died from Aids and are in danger of dying from abandonment.We are not just providing food for these children, but raising up the future leaders of tomorrow. We believe that these children will change Africa. Heroes of the Nation was founded in 2002 by Andrew Sievright. His desire is to raise up heroes from outcast orphans. Heroes is actively seeking to purchase land in Nairobi, Kenya's capital, to build a new orphanage and school that will house up to 1,500 children. Learn MoreOur strategy is to create orphanageschool campuses that are self-supporting and self-sustaining through micro-enterprise.To do this, we build our school 30 larger than necessary. We then invite the local children of the surrounding city who can pay tuition for the quality education we provide at the Heroes School. The income generated from the school provides a significant percentage of the money that is needed to care for and educate our orphans. This is called a micro-enterprise support system.Heroes of the Nation has several micro-enterprise businesses that support the orphanage and provide vocational training for some of the older children.
